If the DOGE Check Drops, Child Support Should Only Get a Percentage

They’re saying the DOGE program might be sending out big checks—possibly over $10,000. But if you owe child support, you already know the system is coming for it.

I don’t think the whole check should be taken. A percentage? Sure. But it should be based on the state’s rules, not just taken completely.

This money could help people catch up on bills, start fresh, or better their situation. If the system takes everything, what’s the point? People still need a chance to move forward.

So what do y’all think? Should child support only get a percentage, or should the full check be fair game?
